Jayla James

Jayla James is the Program Coordinator of the Underserved Technical Assistance Project at ALSO. In this role, Jayla coordinates project and event logistics and administrative tasks, prepares and distributes announcements to Underserved Grantees, produces the monthly program e-newsletter, and supports project grant deliverables’ overall efficiency and success.

In addition to her work at ALSO, as a recent graduate of Hampton University with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Jayla has gained experience working with non-profit and community-based organizations throughout her internship experiences in college with a focus on community health, public health, mental health, and youth development. Jayla was also involved in several community service-based organizations while on campus, which fueled her passion for working with the community and youth.
