Intersectionality: A Tool for Gender and Economic Justice

Serving as a tool for organizations to use towards creating spaces of justice, this document introduces intersectionality as a framework for tool for analysis, advocacy, and policy development. In addition to explaining what intersectionality is, this document highlights intersectionality as a critical component in work for human rights and development and suggests ways in which gender equality advocates can utilize the framework to address issues of domestic and sexual violence. The document was published by the Association for Women’s Rights in Development in the Women’s Rights and Economic Change journal.
